Dragon Radar is a type of technology prominent in the Dragon Ball series, and are used to detect and locate Dragon Balls for collection purposes. The most famous Dragon Radar is Bulma's Ball Detector, which is used the most throughout the series by the heroes.
The Red Ribbon Army created their own radar, but it was waker and only showed the approximate location of the dragon ball. They sought to steal Bulma's and use her technology.
Piccolo Dai Mao also had a kind of Dragon Radar shaped like a globe above his throne inside his ship. It's unknown how precise this radar was, or where the technology used to create it came from.
Freeza did not use a radar, and instead relied on the Namekians to give them to him.
